Cheering on the dawgs at 7 weeks
Penn started daycare Thursday (I can't even talk about it), so he had his first round of shots recently. At 7 weeks, he weighed 12 lbs 2 oz and measured 24 inches long - 95th percentile for both!
7 weeks after shots
-Eats 4-5 ounces every 3-4 hours (5 times a day at about 7:30, 11:30, 2:30, 6 and 9)
-He no longer takes a bottle in the middle of the night, but I do have to put his paci in several times throughout the night
-Size 1 diapers
-0-3 month clothing but looks like he'll move up to 3-6 month soon because he's so long!
-LOVES the stroller and car and to be outside and in public
-Prefers to sleep on his tummy
Working on that Zoolander Blue Steel at 7 weeks
He has a very sweet demeanor and is content most of the time. He has a little freckle on his left thigh that is just about the cutest thing I've ever seen. He enjoys laying on the floor in the bathroom and "exercising" (kicking his legs) just before bath time. He likes to be upright over my shoulder most of the time, and he puts his hand under his chin while opening and closing it (Little Rascals style) while he eats. He has also discovered his hands and puts them in his mouth a lot.
Trying out the bumbo seat at 7 weeks. Yeah, it's pink. Get over it.
7 week checkup
I am enjoying my time much more with him than I did with MaryCollis. Maybe it's because I got to stay home with her for two years, so everything seemed so ordinary - boring even - or maybe it's because I know this is my last baby. But now I don't mind the rocking or having to hold him a certain way.
I'm sure a lot will change over the coming weeks as we make the transition to daycare. Luckily, Chad is taking vacation this week so he can help me get the kids ready in the mornings. We have 7 weeks of work/daycare until I take the kiddos out for the summer, which I'm sure will be the longest 7 weeks of my life but hey... it's all in the name of a paycheck.
Last day at home - 8 weeks
After his first day of daycare - 8 weeks
PS. MaryCollis at 2 months.
